With ChatFill

8.4 seconds

One typed message filled all 15. It checked financing and inspection and left appraisal unchecked, as asked.

One timed test on September 26, 2026, on a sample real estate contract with 19 boxes, in Google Chrome on a Mac. The clock ran from sending the message until ChatFill showed the answers. The other 4 boxes were the two signatures and their dates. ChatFill never signs for you. Your time will vary with the form and your connection.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    1. Upload your PDF

Pick a PDF form, up to 10 MB. Forms with boxes you can click work best.

  2. Step 2

    2. Fill it your way

Type one message with your details, say it out loud, or click a box and type. ChatFill puts each answer where it goes. You check every answer.

  3. Step 3

    3. Sign it or send it

Sign it yourself, or send it to up to 5 people. They sign with no account. Everyone gets a copy.

What your clients see

Your client gets an email with a link. Here is what happens next.

  • They open the link on a phone or a computer. No account and no app.
  • They fill the boxes you gave them. Then they draw their signature, type their name or upload a photo of their signature.
  • If something is wrong, they can decline and tell you why.
  • ChatFill sends reminders on day 3, on day 7 and the day before it's due.
  • When everyone has signed, each person gets a copy. You also get a Certificate of Completion.

Your documents, in plain words

What ChatFill has today

  • Your files travel over encrypted connections. Our database provider, Supabase, encrypts stored data and keeps it in the United States.
  • To fill your form, ChatFill sends the form and your messages to Anthropic's Claude AI. Voice recordings go to OpenAI to become text.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI do not train their AI on this data under their business terms. ChatFill does not train AI on your documents either.
  • Each signed request comes with a record of who signed and when, plus a fingerprint of the file before and after.

What it does not have yet

  • We do not have a SOC 2 report or an outside security audit yet.
  • ChatFill is not built for HIPAA-regulated health records.
  • Private, expiring links for stored files are not live yet.

Questions

Is an e-signature legal?
In the U.S., a signature generally can't be refused just because it's electronic. Some papers are left out, like wills, divorce papers and court filings. See the e-signature facts.
Do the people I send to need an account?
No. They open a link from their email, fill their part and sign. No account and no app.
What happens when my free trial ends?
Checkout asks for a card, but you pay nothing during the 7-day trial. When it ends, your plan renews at the price you picked until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in Manage plan and keep access until the end of the time you paid for.
Are my documents used for training?
No. ChatFill does not use your documents to train AI. Anthropic and OpenAI handle your form and your voice. Under their business terms, they don't train on this data either.
Which PDFs work best?
PDFs with boxes you can click work best. ChatFill can try a flat PDF, but results vary. Scanned PDFs are not fully tested yet.
Can ChatFill get an answer wrong?
Yes. Check every answer before you sign or send, most of all names, dates, numbers and legal or tax details. ChatFill is not a law firm and does not give legal, tax or medical advice.
